SA:Murdered pensioner hounded by carer
A court's been told a fiercely independent Adelaide pensioner whose body was cut up
and dumped, was hounded weeks before her death by a woman wanting to be her carer.
35-year-old ANGELIKA GAVARE, of Christie Downs, is on trial at the South Australian
Supreme Court after pleading not guilty to murdering 83-year-old Reynella pensioner VONNE
MCGLYNN around in December 2008.
Giving evidence today, Mrs MCGLYNN's former neighbour and friend THERESE MOLLOY has
said the pensioner complained of a woman knocking on her doors and windows demanding to
be hired.
Mrs MCGLYNN's brother has testified that his sister was an independent, reserved and
parsimonious woman who didn't ask others for help.
GAVARE's mother is due to give evidence later today.
